Software development services

Four practices that cover the full life of a product: deciding what to build, building it, running it securely and making it smarter with AI. Each engagement has a defined result and one team accountable for it.

01Practices

Four practices, one delivery standard

03How we deliver

The same five steps on every engagement

  1. 01

    Discover

We learn your business, users and constraints, and agree what success looks like.

    • Goals and success metrics
    • Scope and priorities
    • Risks and assumptions
  2. 02

    Design

UX, architecture and the delivery plan, reviewed with you before the build.

    • Prototypes and flows
    • Architecture decisions
    • Release plan
  3. 03

    Build

Two-week sprints with a demo of working software at the end of each.

    • Sprint demos
    • Automated tests
    • Staging environment
  4. 04

    Launch

Production release with monitoring, documentation and training.

04Plan the work

Start with the work, then choose the practice

A software brief often arrives as a technology request: an app, a chatbot or a dashboard. The useful starting point is the task behind it. Who is doing the work, what information do they need and where does the current process stop? Those answers tell us whether the first engagement is product engineering, an integration, AI validation or a change to the platform the business already runs.

The four practices work together when the problem crosses their boundaries. A new customer portal may need a product journey, an existing ERP connection and an operational release plan. An AI agent may need data access and approval rules before a model is useful. We identify those dependencies in the scope rather than selling each practice as an isolated project. Your proposal names the work, ownership and acceptance evidence so you can assess the whole engagement.

05Plan the work

Why we agree a scope before building

A fixed scope makes the decision concrete. It describes what will work, what systems it will touch and what evidence counts as acceptance. The price follows that boundary. If a requirement changes, we review its effect and agree the change rather than letting a feature list grow without a new decision. Discovery is useful when the boundary is not yet clear; it should produce a better investment decision, including a reason to wait when the evidence is weak.

During delivery, working demos and a staging environment let your team review the actual behaviour. Tests, deployment configuration and documentation are part of the work rather than a separate handover surprise. At the end, you own the code and receive the information needed to operate it. The related fixed-scope solutions provide another route when their predefined deliverables already match the problem. Use the services here when the scope needs to be built around your situation.

06FAQ

Frequently asked questions

View pricing guide
How do we choose the right service?

Start with the workflow, users and systems involved rather than a preferred technology. We review the constraint and suggest a first engagement. The practices can work together when a product needs integration, AI and platform work; the proposal makes their dependencies and responsibilities explicit.

What is the difference between a service and a solution?

A service is scoped around your particular problem. A solution is a package with defined deliverables and a delivery format. Both need an agreed boundary and price. Choose the package when it fits; use a custom service when the work requires a different scope.

Can you work on software another team built?

Yes. We review the existing code, data and operating constraints before recommending repair, integration or replacement. Keeping useful parts may be the right decision. The first scope explains compatibility, migration and release risks so improvement does not depend on an unexplained rewrite.

Where can we see cost ranges?

The pricing guide lists approved ranges for product, AI, integration, automation and assessment engagements. Scope, system dependencies and acceptance criteria determine the actual proposal. We confirm the work and price in writing before building; the guide is a planning reference rather than a quote for every project.
